While in the first case I wouldn't like a plugin with 256 parameters, in the second one I would like as much modifiers as possible. I do use more than one sampler plugin, because sometimes you just need to play a sample with an envelope (maybe pitched up and down) and in other cases you want to do some grainy experimental stuff. What is the best sounding sampler plug in? WIth the DAW related sampleplugs i know its rather 2 octave thing before it gets messy.Īre there some sampler plugs that can match or beat hardware samplers regarding polyphonic playability? Some hardware samplers manage it pretty well to sound musical over the entire keyboard range.

Playing a loop is something totaly different to play polyphon lines over a 6 octave span. Problem: all sampler plug ins advertise superior sound quality. I guess this is related how hardware samplers handle the sample frequencies.Īnd of cause some of the old machines have pretty beefy sounding D/A coverters. but its realy not the same or even close how the same sample sounds with hardware samplers. The soundquaility of lives sampler or logics exs isnt good enough to match even pretty boring hardware samplers like akai s-1000. but never completly matches without tweaking.Īnother reason for me to stay away from the DAW related Sampler plugs. it saves the adjustments of the keyboard ranges. Its a myth that importing of other formats works. I finaly want to bring my quite big personal sample libary into the lap top domain.īut i dont like to do this with daw related sampler plug ins.īecause i dont want to do this work twice.
